LOCATION

The Villa is located on the beautiful Dalmatian Coast of Croatia between Split and Dubrovnik. It lies on the Adriatic Sea opposite the East coast of Italy.

About 20km south of Makarska, it is at the quiet end of the famous Makarska Riviera - a long time holiday destination with its lovely beaches, clean seas and numerous interesting towns and villages.

Zivogosce comprises 5 small hamlets - 3 on the coast and 2 further up the mountain. Zivogosce Mala Duba is a small, former fishing village now mostly dependant on tourism. It has a small village centre with shop and a restaurant, and a small but quite lovely pebble beach. There are numerous coves and inlets and small isolated beaches to discover all along this coast.

GETTING THERE
Getting to Zivogosce is very straightforward.
You can enter Croatia via the international airports of Split or Dubrovnik (both only about 2 - 2.5 hours flying time from London).

There is one main road along the whole coast of Dalmatia with a large and stunning mountain range running behind it for much of its length. Although single carriageway, it is well surfaced and a beautiful drive. It can become quite busy in summer, particularly at weekends.

The new motorway from Split is now open (part of the Zagreb to Dubrovnik project) which reduces the drive time to Zivogosce from Split Airport to about 1 hour
